assalamualaikum
so that is some words from me for people who migrate from big city to small city or village.
do you know where the place I have been living now? in my hometown, Surabaya? noo... the second big city in east java where I took my bachelor degree? noo... for your information, now I'm living out of country. small village of a subdistrict which the location near the border between provinces. yeah... that's the fact.
living out of country?
living in a country side?
people call it living out of country or in a country side...
i mean living in a small town, in a village with less crowd from town. when the night comes, i can hear sound of crickets, bugs... when the fajr comes i woke up by sound adzan and cocks clearly. different... very different from my hometown, a big city in east java indonesia. at first day moved to here, i think "is that true I'll live here from now? until when?" like a big question's symbol with lot of mixed feeling. because this is my first time move to other city i mean other province which need up to fourteen hours from my hometown. what? 14 hours?? why it takes so long? because my district far from train station or central bus station indeed airport. too tired if I want to go home. eventhough still in a same island (read: java island), but takes longer than time gap from my family house in east borneo to surabaya just need 3 hours, whereas me? I need at least 12 hours minimun if i took by train. sometimes I feel envy when I look a calendar and there's lot of national holiday marks but I can't make it to visit my family because the time isn't enough to deal with the time requirement. that's the lacked for being villagers. but who says there's no luck? for me, always trying to find a positive sides in every situation are keys to keep going living here. counting to second years, and it's okay... I can manage a daily activities more healty here than if I live in subdistrict (the subdistrict have more facilities like minimarket, hospital, department store, banks' branch office) like I eat thrice a day without worrying what I should eat today (because the daily meal is include as a family host's facilities), the rent price of my room were inexpensive than rent price in around subdisctrict area. besides, I have running and cardio routine in the morning with free facilities (because I used the main road in village as a run's track) compare if I choose a dormitory in subdistrict the choice for physical exercise is a fitness centre and I have to set aside some money to pay the membership cost. additional point for me to saving money with decrease my outcome. hahaha.
for people who usually life in a hectic place and unfamiliar with that situation, it will be a problem in a first, but sure like me, if you make it as a positive sides... until now, I enjoy living here. most likely with my hometown athmosphere or past dormitory (as a college student) which in a secured household so less and far from noisy and hectic.
