Hobby or Habit? Fix it.
Assalamualaikum...
anyway what's your hobby, guys? gaming? traveling? excercise? anything what you choose it must comforts you right? actually, until now-when-I-decide-to-write-down-this-post, I still don't know what's the different between hobby and habit. finally I make a choice being independent and don't taking any journals or source to tell you about the differents.... so, I claimed by self. hehehe. my point, hobby is something that usually you do, there's no pressure and enjoyed it but habit is something that usually you do, sometimes there's a pressure seems you do because you have to and because it had been long time activities, in the end you enjoyed this too.
but a lot of people not really means of this. I have a friend that claimed that their hobby is eating. oh come on... really your hobby is eating? it's an obligation being human, dude. what if you didn't eat? you have to see a doctor... I know if there's people who claimed theirself an eaters. yeah, people who decide eating is their hobby. but the different is.... the-eaters is not only eating like usual, they also tasting a new food, make a point. in indonesia, bondan winarno is a famous eater. I know previously he is a journalist, but because he's an eater, so he can earn money from this. finding a new restaurant or food spot, tasting the food, give a review and point.
sooo, the point is... thinking again about your hobby. if previously you deciding for your hobby is eating, sleeping, breathing.... mmm.... thinking again!
i'm one of the people who claimed theirself have a hobby like reading, watching and writing. yeah, that's an ordinary hobbies. but I really mean it. I love books very much. when I doing my research, I had read a lot of books, journals or just science's public article. I was read because I need the point of their paragraph, sentences or words to make sure my research. but sometimes, when I finished read the related parts with my research, I can stop it neither. my parents bought me a lot of books, especially when I was following the book by J.K Rowling-harry potter and Meg Cabbot-the princess diaries. I either like manga but I just buy a line story of detective conan and attacks on titan. another manga just I borrow from my friend (a sadnews is, manga price a little expensive) or just read by online. in this time, I had a time to carrying on this hobby and so in love with Dan Brown's novel (thriller-history genre), phsychology's book or about religion.
how about watching? I mean movie. I will turn on a tv if my favorite serial movie released like sherlock, the walking dead, avatar korra. hehehe. but I also have a copy on my pc, sometimes when I miss my Cumberbatch (yeah, Benedict is the best sherlock!!! when you are a woman, you will know why I love him so much) or I have miss another scene these movie. I couldn't remember the first time I like watching movies but I remember the movies that made me addicted to renting are a cinderella story-Hilary Duff, mean girls-Lindsay Lohan, new york minute-Mary Kate Ashlee Olsen, sleep over-Evan Petters. I knoooow, a love-drama genre but I really like it. the story is not about love, but friendship, family... The movie is too old school now, but it's hard to find a similiar one in Indonesia, a movie like this in this country going 'alay'. I love a adventure-history-animation-or thriller is best, but watch a love-drama is better than watch an Indonesia movie. I don't feel ashame to confess if I follow korean channel televison too, like for watch superman returns, running man or on going drama. now always the korean drama talk about love but the story sometime just tell you a new thing like about the habit, the beautiful place (I promised for my self I will go to korean someday... hahaha). I can counting how many Indonesian movie have been watch. nowadays, I have desire to rent a movie in the atlantic (movie rental in malang), when I finish my final task, sure...
writing. just few people take writing as their hobby. writing is not a bad hobby but maybe for some people it's a very-boring-hobby. like me when I have a lot of idea, the spirit for writing coming faster but when the idea or my mood going to somewhere yeah... I write nothing and forget about continuing the paper. hahaha. and now I want to continuing my writting hobby just for spent a little time to contributing in my own blog. a simple conclusion right?
for me... no matter how strange or rare your hobby, as long as you enjoy it, do it. the better proof how much you love your hobby is when you enjoy and take a positive thing with your hobby. it's better if you can make a profit....
